Museum Hours
Through September 5
Nature Building, Science Building and Planetarium*:
Sunday: Noon-6pm
Monday-Friday: 10am-5pm
Saturday: 10am-6pm
Extended Hours on Labor Day, September 6: 10am-6pm
September 7-23
Nature Building, Science Building and Planetarium*:
Monday–Saturday: 10am-5pm
Sunday: Noon-5
*During the school year (except during the State Fair of Texas®, when it is open Sunday-Saturday), the Planetarium is open to the public only on weekend and specifically-mentioned holidays. It is reserved for school groups during the week.
Holiday Hours
- Regular operation on Memorial Day (May 31), Independence Day (July 4) and Labor Day (September 6), Columbus Day (October 11), New Year's Day (January 1)
- Closed Thanksgiving Day (November 25), Christmas Day (December 25)
- Open 10am – 3pm Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year’s Eve (December 31)

The Museum of Nature & Science is located in Fair Park and, therefore, every year during the State Fair of Texas®, access to the Museum is limited to those who purchase admission to the Fair. Once State Fair admission has been purchased, members can still enjoy free admission rates to MNS and non-members can enjoy great discounts!
This year, make MNS a part of your State Fair of Texas® experience. Only a buck or two gets you in!

Discount tickets are available for general (non-education) groups of 20 or more. Please reserve in advance. For more information, please call 214-428-5555 x8.
Military personnel and their families receive a $2 discount off MNS general admission, IMAX® and Planetarium shows. Tickets must be purchased at the box office with Military ID.

Now showing at the TI Founders IMAX® Theater: Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk and Alaska: Spirit of the Wild. Click here for more information, showtimes, or to buy tickets.
If you plan to seen an IMAX® film while visiting MNS, please remember:
- The TI Founders IMAX® Theater is located in the MNS Science Building.
- The average length of the IMAX® films are about 45 minutes.
- Pre-show queuing time before and IMAX® film is 15 minutes.
Fair Park Passport!
Fair Park One Price Ticket!
Visit six interactive, awe-inspiring, thought-provoking museums for only $14.00 per child and $24.00 per adult. The Fair Park Passport is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Please print your receipt to present at any Museum of Nature & Science box office to receive your Fair Park Passport.
NOTE: Fair Park One Price Ticket does not include admission to the State Fair.
