Snore and Explore!

With a Sleepover at the Museum of Nature & Science.

When the lights go out, your imagination comes to life! A sleepover at the Museum of Nature & Science lets you experience the wonders of the world like never before—with plenty of adventure that unfolds under the cover of night!

Go behind the scenes with after-hours access to intriguing exhibits, exclusive demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Sharpen your skills for discovery with secretive scavenger hunts along darkened halls and create clever crafts that you can take home. Illuminate your senses with a nighttime Electric Theatre performance or Fire and Ice show before you drift off—and wake up with an eye-opening IMAX® film. You can even dream up your own theme and we’ll come up with a custom program of sundown-to-sunup activities!*

MNS sleepovers are ideal for schools, churches, scout troops, sports teams, and other groups with a focus on learning, team building, and most importantly fun. Packages also include a late-night pizza snack and breakfast in the morning.

Sleepover programming is geared toward children ages 6-12 years old.

*Note:  Scheduled activities including IMAX® show may vary subject to availability and group size.

Important Sleepover Details

Our Staff
All sleepover personnel are background checked and CPR/AED certified. All activity instructors are educators at the museum and, often, former schoolteachers. Volunteers at the event are MNS placement members of the Junior League of Dallas.

Your Group
Groups of all sizes are welcome to sleepover at the museum. However, we do recommend 1 adult chaperone for every 4-5 children and programming is designed for kindergarten through 6th grade. Under-age children will not be allowed to attend. Note: Special conditions may apply for certain themes. Ask your coordinator for more details.

What to Bring
Bring a bedroll and minimal personal items. Please DO NOT BRING outside food or electronic equipment (radios, hair dryers, etc.). Group leaders will want to bring a flashlight. Air mattresses and sleeping masks are also a good idea, although not necessary.
